2014 Relay for Life

Who Will You Relay For?

This was the question the team at Lighthouse Capital were asking themselves in the weeks preceding the 2014 Cancer Council’s main fundraising event, the Relay for Life. The marquee event on the fundraising calendar, the Relay for Life raises invaluable funds for cancer research. Not only does it raise important funds to help battle this disease, it also provides a loving environment for those touched by cancer to remember and to celebrate the lives of those who have been affected.

The Relay for Life requires at least one member of each team to be constantly walking (or for those crazy enough running) around an oval for a 24 hour period. In what was a festival like atmosphere with stalls, dress ups, live performances and even a yoga session, Team Lighthouse managed to raise $7,890.

Although some very tired and sore bodies left the Relay on Sunday afternoon, it was nonetheless a rewarding and unforgettable experience. One which we are excited to repeat next year with even more passion and drive.
